Job description:

Cadman Power Equipment, located in Courtland, ON is a designer, manufacturer and global distributor of irrigation and manure management systems, and high-volume fluid transfer solutions within the oil and gas industry.  With more than 70 years of commitment to our customers in our community, our company is looking for positive, hard-working people to join our Cadman Crew!

We currently have an immediate opening for a Welder on our day shift.

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematic designs, and application and weld symbols to create a quality product.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using gas metal arc welding.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Examine and inspect welds to specifications and an aptitude to produce a quality product.
  • Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits as necessary.
  • Safely operate an overhead crane.
  • Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Wear and use all required personal protective equipment and devices as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Min 3 years previous welding experience with TIG welding.
  • Experience with aluminum considered an asset.
  • Must pass a weld test (candidates provide own helmet and gloves).
  • Strong blueprint reading capabilities.
  • Overhead crane operator experience preferred.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds.
  • Positive mindset with strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Willingness to work overtime or adjusted hours as required.
  • Reliable transportation required.
